Sometimes you might want a particular book or journal article not held by us.

An interloan is when the library you belong to borrows an item from another library and lends it to you.

There is no charge for Interloans to WelTec students. The item you wish to interloan must be relevant to course you are taking here at WelTec. The number of interloans you can request each year is limited:

  • Certificate, diploma 1st & 2nd year degree students - up to 10
  • 3rd year degree students - up to 30


If you would like to request an interloan, please email all details to : interloans@weltec.ac.nz
or freephone 0800 WELTEC (935 832).

Include your name, student ID number, phone number or email address, home address, and as many details as you can about the book title, author, publication dates, title of magazine article, title of magazine, volume, issue number, publication dates etc.

Interloans can sometimes take up to three weeks to arrive, so remember to plan ahead when preparing for an assignment.
